2013 Foundation Golf Outing
It was a hot and windy Friday afternoon, but that didn’t affect the enthusiasm for the 1st Annual Canton-Inwood Area Health Foundation Golf Outing held at Hiawatha Golf Club on July 12. The event was held to support the Canton-Inwood Area Health Foundation. With 13 teams participating, $6,500 was raised.
The Johnson Feed team, consisting of Mitch Johnson, Todd Johnson, Steve Peterson and Chuck Larsgaard, took home the overall first place prize and bragging rights for the year.
First place in the 2nd flight division went to the Brendyn Richards, Sean Coffman, Ryan Hofer and Dave Olsen who were playing for the carsforsale.com/Unlimited Electronic Lifestyles team.
Leon Eich, Dan Moen, Craig Madsen and Anthony Behrens secured the second place standing for Security Savings Bank.
Not to be forgotten, the ladies of Pioneer Memorial Hospital and Health Services were the proud recipients of the last place title. The team consisted of Grade Tidball, Anne Christiansen, Candace Osborn and Judy Vanderhule.
Luck was not on the side of any of the participants on the 9th hole. A hole in one prize of $5,000 was offered by Howalt McDowell Insurance.
Following the event, participants were treated to a meal prepared by the Foundation Board Members and Sanford Canton-Inwood staff.
“We are very pleased with the outcome of the 2013 Golf Outing,” said Foundation Director Brendyn Richards. “Our sponsors and participants deserve a big, ‘Thank You.’”
